MTA – gestalt no input

„Modular Trigger Assignment“ is an open form concept, which can basically be executed with any kind of instrumentation and any kind of musical material. Triggering musical modules controls the interaction between the players.
By setting the material (the basic elements of the music) and its major relations in a compositional process, clear and easily perceptible musical structures are created. However, the players are free to work out the material and to spontaneously create the global form. This allows a direct, gestural expression of the players and guarantees the authenticity of each performance.
The „MTA – gestalt hodos“ is a version for the French Ensemble Hodos – in this case consisting of three reed and three string instruments. It’s interesting to see the confrontation between the two different groups of instruments as well as between the musicians, who all have individually different musical backgrounds.
